GoHighLevel snapshots: what's included and cost

Short answer

A GoHighLevel snapshot is a reusable template of one sub-account's setup (its workflows, funnels, pipelines, calendars, forms, custom fields and AI agents) that you load into another HighLevel sub-account. It carries no contacts, conversations, phone numbers, texting registration or connected accounts, so those still get set up by hand.

HighLevel gives away 15 industry snapshots, and sellers charge from $40 to $2,500 for theirs. Whatever you pay, a bought or downloaded snapshot is a license that only runs inside HighLevel, not something your business owns. We ran sales teams on GoHighLevel for five or six years. Every fact below comes from HighLevel's help center, terms and the sellers' own pages, checked October 23, 2026.

GoHighLevel snapshots at a glance What the sources say
What it copies Setup: workflows, funnels, pipelines, calendars, forms, fields, AI agents
What it leaves behind Contacts, conversations, numbers, A2P, email DNS, integrations
Free snapshots 15 industry snapshots from HighLevel
Paid snapshots $40 to $2,500 on the seller pages we checked
Updates Manual refresh, then a push to your own sub-accounts
Export None. Share links into another HighLevel agency only
Ownership A non-exclusive license, per HighLevel's terms
If you cancel Data kept 90 days; a $27 a month pause keeps snapshots

What is a GHL snapshot?

A GHL snapshot is a saved copy of a sub-account's configuration that HighLevel calls a reusable template. HighLevel's snapshots overview says you don't build one from scratch: you set up a sub-account the way you want it, then capture it.

Agencies use snapshots to launch every new client from the same proven setup. A single business uses one to copy its setup into a second location, or to start from someone else's template instead of a blank account. The $97 Starter plan includes three sub-accounts and the $297 Unlimited plan has no cap, per the pricing page.

What a GoHighLevel snapshot includes and leaves out

A GoHighLevel snapshot includes the account's structure and leaves out its live data and connections. In HighLevel's words, snapshots transfer "configuration and selected reusable assets, not live account activity or customer records."

A snapshot copies A snapshot leaves behind
Workflows and triggers Contacts and appointments
Pipelines, tags, custom fields, custom values Conversations and message history
Funnels, websites, forms, surveys, quizzes Phone numbers and A2P registration
Calendars and services Email domain and DNS records
Email and text templates, campaigns Stripe and other connected accounts
Conversation AI, Voice AI agents, Agent Studio Reputation data and reviews
Dashboards, custom reports, custom objects Private dashboards, staff logins
HighLevel's snapshots overview listing items that do not transfer: contacts, appointments, conversations, messages, reputation data, Stripe connections, integrations, Voice AI phone numbers, LinkedIn lead gen forms and private dashboards

Two more catches. Funnels and websites arrive as drafts and stay offline until you connect a domain and publish. And once loaded, a snapshot can't be unloaded; you delete what you don't want by hand. HighLevel's own example snapshot guide calls a snapshot "a configuration template, not a finished live account."

How do GHL snapshots work?

GHL snapshots work in six steps that HighLevel keeps separate: create, share, import, load, refresh and push. Mixing up import and load is the most common confusion. Importing only puts a snapshot in your agency's library; loading is what changes a client account.

Action What it does
Create Captures chosen assets from a source sub-account
Share Makes a link another agency can import
Import Adds a shared snapshot to your agency library
Load Applies its assets to a new or existing sub-account
Refresh Updates the snapshot from its source account
Push Sends a refreshed version to your linked sub-accounts

How to create a snapshot in GHL

To create a snapshot in GHL, go to Agency View, then Account Snapshots, and click Create New Snapshot. Name it, pick the source sub-account, then choose Select All or tick individual assets and click Create. If some assets fail to load, a Retry button refetches only those.

How to share a GHL snapshot

To share a GHL snapshot, open Account Snapshots, then My Snapshots, use the three-dot menu, choose Share Snapshot, pick a link type and click Get Link. The share article lists six types: a permanent link, a one-time link, an email link, an agency-restricted link, a sub-account-restricted link and a marketplace link. Turn on Assets Protected and the buyer can use your assets in their own agency but can't resell them.

How to import a snapshot in GHL

To import a snapshot in GHL, sign in to your agency, open the share link, rename it if you like, click Import Now and wait until it stops showing greyed out. Then load it: Sub-Accounts, the three-dot menu, Manage Client, Actions, Load Snapshot. Pick the snapshot and the assets, resolve conflicts, type "confirm" and proceed. HighLevel emails you when the load is done.

The conflict step is where accounts get hurt. For each clash you choose Skip, which keeps your version, or Override, which replaces it, and an override can't be undone through the load. HighLevel also warns against publishing pages, turning on workflows, sending messages or routing live calls right after an install. Load it, test it with a fake lead, then switch things on.

How GHL snapshot updates work

A GHL snapshot doesn't update itself. The owner refreshes it after changing the source account, then pushes chosen assets to sub-accounts that already loaded it. Pushes only reach sub-accounts inside the owner's agency. Buy from a seller, and you get their changes only by importing a fresh link. Each refresh is logged as a version, but there's no revert button.

Free GoHighLevel snapshots

Free GoHighLevel snapshots come from HighLevel itself, which gives away 15 industry snapshots, and from community sites that pass links around. HighLevel's Industry Snapshots folder covers businesses such as plumbing, real estate, family law, bookkeeping, a gym and a marketing agency, each with a share link and a setup guide.

They're starting points, not finished builds. Most of those guides were last updated in May 2024 (the hair salon one was redone in September 2026), and none is built for a sales team working leads by phone. Free links from community sites are a bigger gamble: no seller stands behind them, and nobody pushes fixes.

GoHighLevel snapshots for sale: what they cost

GoHighLevel snapshots for sale cost from $40 to $2,500 on the seller pages we checked, and the HighLevel plan underneath is extra. highlevelsnapshots.com sells a bundle of 22-plus snapshots for $197 with a money-back guarantee. Top GHL Snapshots lists about 30 industry snapshots from $40, with roofing at $900, plumbing at $1,000, mortgage at $1,500 and its SaaS build at $2,500.

Bar chart comparing one-time snapshot prices with yearly GoHighLevel plan costs in October 2026: HighLevel industry snapshot $0, highlevelsnapshots.com bundle $197, Top GHL Snapshots roofing $900, SAAS Elite $2,500, Starter at $97 a month $1,164 a year, Unlimited at $297 a month $3,564 a year

The snapshot is the small bill. It only runs while you pay for the plan underneath it, plus usage for every text and call. Our GoHighLevel pricing breakdown has the full monthly bill.

The GHL snapshot marketplace

The GHL snapshot marketplace is HighLevel's App Marketplace, where agencies sell snapshots to other agencies. Sellers choose free, freemium or paid (a one-time fee, monthly or yearly) and either charge the buying agency directly or charge sub-accounts each time the snapshot is pushed. Each listing holds one snapshot, HighLevel reviews it in 7 to 10 days, and resale protection switches on by itself. HighLevel doesn't publish its cut, and we found no public price list for marketplace snapshots.

Best GoHighLevel snapshots for a sales team

The best GoHighLevel snapshots for a sales team are the ones whose asset list matches how you sell, and almost every snapshot on sale is a marketing kit for an agency niche. Before you buy, get the full asset list, the date it was last updated and the refund terms. Then check what it can't bring: your numbers, your A2P approval and your email domain. Those are the slow parts of a GoHighLevel setup, and no snapshot skips them. If you'd rather hire it out, GoHighLevel experts compares who builds it and what they charge.

Can you export a GHL snapshot?

You can't export a GHL snapshot. HighLevel documents no download or file format. A snapshot only travels by share link into another HighLevel agency, so it can't be opened in any other CRM. Contacts are the one thing with a CSV export.

Cancelling makes this matter. Per HighLevel's cancellation article, workflows stop, phone numbers and A2P registrations are deleted after 14 days, and the account is gone after 90. The Pause plan keeps saved snapshots for $27 a month, which is rent on a template you can't use anywhere else.

Who owns a GoHighLevel snapshot?

Nobody who buys a GoHighLevel snapshot owns it. HighLevel's terms of service (updated June 2026) say a purchased or downloaded snapshot "gives you only a non-exclusive license to use, copy or share the Snapshots within HighLevel's Platform" and "does not grant you ownership."

A snapshot you build yourself is closer to yours: the terms have you confirm you own or control the content you put in. But the working thing (the workflows, triggers and pipelines wired together) only runs inside HighLevel. However much you pay for a snapshot, or for someone to build one, the system never becomes something the business owns. Stop paying and it stops.

The alternative to a GHL snapshot: own the system

The alternative to a GHL snapshot is a system built around how your team sells, where you keep the code, the data and the IP. One client's floor paid about $4,500 a month for eight closers across a per-seat dialer, a per-seat CRM, a scheduling tool and a Zap. Now it runs one system they own for about $300 a month in hosting, and an added seat costs $0 (case study).

It's typically less than you spend today, paid monthly, and the build payments have an end date (how pricing works). If GoHighLevel and its add-ons cost you under $1,000 a month and fit how you sell, keep it and load a snapshot; renting is the better deal at that size. Custom CRM development covers when building wins, our GoHighLevel review has the pros and cons, and the wider field is in our CRM software guide.

Frequently asked questions

Are GoHighLevel snapshots free?

Some are. HighLevel gives away 15 industry snapshots through share links in its help center, and community sites share more. Paid snapshots are priced by their sellers, from $40 to $2,500 on the seller pages we checked in October 2026.

Do GoHighLevel snapshots include contacts?

No. A snapshot copies setup only: workflows, funnels, pipelines, calendars, forms, custom fields and similar assets. Contacts, appointments, conversations, messages, phone numbers and connected accounts never transfer.

Can you download a GHL snapshot?

Not as a file. A snapshot moves by share link from one HighLevel agency to another and is then loaded into a sub-account. HighLevel documents no download or export format, so a snapshot can't be opened or used outside HighLevel.

Do GoHighLevel snapshots update automatically?

No. The owner has to refresh the snapshot after changing the source account, then push the update. Pushes only reach sub-accounts inside the owner's own agency. If you bought a snapshot from someone else, you need a new share link from them to get their changes.

Can I sell my GoHighLevel snapshots?

Yes. Agency admins can list a snapshot on HighLevel's App Marketplace as free, freemium or paid (one-time, monthly or yearly), or sell it through their own site with a share link. HighLevel reviews marketplace listings in 7 to 10 days and doesn't publish its fee.
