Short answer

The GoHighLevel free trial is 14 days on any plan, Starter, Unlimited or Agency Pro, with full access to that plan's features. HighLevel takes your card at signup, charges nothing for the plan up front, and bills the plan automatically when the 14 days end unless you cancel.

GoHighLevel (GHL) is an all-in-one CRM and marketing platform sold mostly to agencies, priced per account rather than per user. There's no 30-day go high level free trial on its public pricing page. A 30-day trial exists only through partner sign-up pages that HighLevel hosts for its affiliates.

Every term below comes from gohighlevel.com, HighLevel's help center and its terms, checked October 22, 2026. We sell no GoHighLevel setup and use no affiliate links.

How long is the GoHighLevel free trial?

The GoHighLevel free trial lasts 14 days. HighLevel's pricing page offers it on Starter, Unlimited and Agency Pro, with "full access to the features of your chosen tier." Enterprise has no trial listed; it's sold through a call with HighLevel's team.

Plan limits still apply in the trial. Starter caps you at three sub-accounts, the separate business accounts inside HighLevel. A sales team running one business only needs one, so Starter is enough to test with. Users and contacts are unlimited on every plan, and HighLevel doesn't charge per seat.

Is there a GoHighLevel 30 day trial?

A GoHighLevel 30 day trial exists, but only through partner sign-up pages that HighLevel hosts on its own site, not through the public pricing page. On the Retell AI partner page, HighLevel offers new customers "an exclusive 30-day free trial of HighLevel SaaS Pro" and says "HighLevel usually only has a 14-day trial."

Read the small print on any extended offer. That page is for the SaaS Pro plan, which is the $497-a-month tier. After one month, HighLevel charges the card on file unless you cancel. The partner on the page, Retell AI, is in HighLevel's affiliate program and can earn a commission on your signup. Retell's own usage billing is separate (how Retell AI pricing works). That's why so many guides push a 30-day link.

If a page promises a 30 day free trial to everyone, check which plan it starts you on and write down the cancel date. Don't stack trials either. "Trial periods are not intended to be used consecutively," per HighLevel's terms of service, and back-to-back trials to avoid paying can get an account suspended.

Do you need a credit card for the trial?

Yes, the GoHighLevel free trial needs a credit card. HighLevel's own signup page says "You won't be billed anything today" and "After 14 Days, we will charge your card on file unless you cancel!" The checkout asks for card details. HighLevel's terms also require billing information, including a credit card, and say subscriptions renew automatically.

Some guides promise a trial with no card. They don't match what HighLevel's own signup asks for.

What happens when the GoHighLevel free trial ends?

When the GoHighLevel free trial ends, billing starts automatically for the plan unless you've cancelled. That's $97, $297 or $497 a month, or $970, $2,970 or $4,970 a year. HighLevel runs month to month with no long-term contract. Our GoHighLevel pricing breakdown shows what a sales team really pays once usage is added.

HighLevel doesn't publish the exact hour it charges, so cancel a day early. Its terms say every fee is non-refundable, "including subscription Fees," and that "No refunds will be provided for your failure to properly cancel." Choose monthly billing for the first charge: once you're on a yearly plan, switching back to monthly isn't available in the platform, so you'd have to ask support.

What gets charged during the trial?

Usage gets charged during the GoHighLevel trial, even while the plan itself is free. HighLevel's pricing page says "usage-based fees for telecommunications or third-party services may apply during the trial." Calls, texts, email and AI come out of a separate prepaid wallet, which auto-recharges from your card when it runs low.

Usage in the trial Price Source
Local phone number $1.15 a month Phone pricing guide
Text message, US $0.00747 a segment, plus carrier fees Phone pricing guide
A2P 10DLC registration $22.50 or $64 one time A2P fees
A2P campaign $1.50 to $10 a month A2P fees

Texting is the catch. Sending texts to US numbers needs A2P 10DLC registration. Even HighLevel's paid Fast Track only aims for approval "within 3 business days," and carriers can take several more business days after that. A 14-day trial can end before your texts are live.

What to test in a GoHighLevel 14 day free trial

Test the parts your team will use every day in the GoHighLevel 14 day free trial, and start A2P registration on day one so texting has a chance to go live. In this order:

  1. Import your contacts and build the pipeline your reps actually work, stage by stage.
  2. Build one workflow end to end: a new lead comes in, gets a text and an email, and lands as a task for a rep.
  3. Book a test appointment through a calendar and a form.
  4. Make calls from the browser and check that outcomes land on the contact record.
  5. Try the export before day 14, so you know what you can take out.

Whatever you build in those 14 days lives inside HighLevel. It's useful to know that before you put weeks into it. Our GoHighLevel review covers how it holds up for sales teams after the trial.

How to cancel GoHighLevel

To cancel your GoHighLevel subscription, go to Agency Settings, then Billing, and use the cancel option there. The same steps cancel a trial or a paid GoHighLevel account. HighLevel's billing help article lists them:

  1. Go to Agency Settings and click Billing.
  2. Click "Want to modify/cancel your subscription?"
  3. Click Show More, then Cancel Plan.
  4. Choose a reason and click Next.
  5. Read the data loss warning and click "I am sure I want to cancel".
  6. Write at least 30 words of feedback and click Submit.

If you signed up through an agency, you can't cancel from your end. "HighLevel cannot cancel an account managed by another agency," so contact that agency's admin.

How to cancel a GoHighLevel free trial

To cancel a GoHighLevel free trial, follow the same Billing steps above before day 14 ends. HighLevel has no separate trial cancellation page. Export anything you want to keep first, because the data loss warning is real: access ends as soon as you cancel.

GoHighLevel cancellation policy: refunds and pausing

The GoHighLevel cancellation policy is simple: cancel any time, but expect no refund. HighLevel's terms say every fee is non-refundable, including subscription fees, usage and resold services, whether or not you used them. Refund requests go to HighLevel's billing team for review, with no promised outcome.

If you only need a break, HighLevel's Pause Account feature costs $27 a month and keeps your data. Published funnels and workflows go back to draft, and phone numbers are deleted 14 days after the pause starts.

What happens to your data when you cancel?

When you cancel GoHighLevel, you lose access straight away, HighLevel keeps the data for 90 days, and then deletes it for good. Phone numbers go sooner. HighLevel's cancellation article says "Phone numbers and A2P registrations will be deleted 14 days after cancellation," and you keep paying for the numbers until then.

Timeline of the GoHighLevel trial and cancellation: trial day 1 card on file, day 14 plan bills unless cancelled; after cancelling, day 0 access ends, day 14 phone numbers and A2P deleted, day 30 unclaimed wallet balance becomes HighLevel's, day 90 account and data deleted

You can reactivate within the 90 days and get everything back. After that, there are no backups to restore from. One more date to watch: any money left in the usage wallet more than 30 days after cancelling "will automatically become the property of HighLevel," under its terms. Asking for that refund is on you.

How to export data from GoHighLevel

You can export contacts and opportunities from GoHighLevel as files, but not the workflows and funnels you built. HighLevel tells you to "export or download any important data you want to keep" before cancelling. Most of what you built doesn't come with you:

What you built Can you export it?
Contacts CSV, admins only, one sub-account at a time (how)
Notes Latest note only, cut at 255 characters
Texts and email history Not in the contacts export
Opportunities Export file from the Opportunities menu
Workflows Only as a snapshot into another HighLevel account
Funnels and websites "There is no supported 1:1 website export"

Snapshots copy your workflows, funnels, forms, calendars and pipelines, but only into another HighLevel account, and without contacts or conversations. What you can take out of the platform is your contact and deal data. The system you built stays behind, because you rent it, you never own it. What is better than GoHighLevel? Other CRMs with a free trial

For a sales team, the CRMs you can try without a card are Close and monday CRM, which both offer 14-day trials with no card, and HubSpot and Zoho CRM, which have free plans. Which one is better than GoHighLevel depends on whether your team lives on the phone, in a pipeline or in marketing.

CRM Trial or free plan Card needed Paid plans from
GoHighLevel 14-day trial Yes $97 a month, unlimited users
Close 14-day trial No $9 a user a month yearly, $19 monthly
monday CRM 14-day trial No $12 a seat a month, yearly, 3-seat minimum
HubSpot Free plan, 2 users No From $7 a seat a month
Zoho CRM Free plan, 3 users No From $14 a user a month
Cleanform, owned, no seat fees Free audit No $0 a seat

Cleanform is $0 a seat at any team size: you pay monthly for the build until it's paid off, then mostly hosting. How pricing works.

Every one of those CRMs charges per seat once you pay, so the bill grows with each hire. GoHighLevel doesn't, and that's its real advantage. Our GoHighLevel alternatives compares them at 10, 25 and 50 seats, and the CRM software guide covers the wider field.

Should you start the GoHighLevel trial?

Start the GoHighLevel trial if you want one flat-priced system for your CRM, texting, calendars and automations, and you'll use the 14 days to build one real workflow and file A2P. Skip it if your team is a dialer-first sales floor, or if you don't want to rent a system you can't take with you.

We ran sales teams on GoHighLevel for five or six years. It's versatile and it isn't priced per seat. With usage on top of the agency plan, it ran us about $1,000 a month, and that was what we paid at the time, not today's price.

The trial shows you the software. It doesn't show you that the setup stays in HighLevel's account when you stop paying.

If your software stack costs $2,000 to $3,000 a month or more, owning is worth a look. Cleanform builds one system around how your team sells and hands over the code, the data and the IP (what a custom CRM build involves).

One client's sales floor paid about $4,500 a month for eight closers across a per-seat dialer, a per-seat CRM, a scheduling tool and a Zap. Now it runs on one system the business owns, for about $300 a month in hosting (case study). An owned system is typically less than you spend today, paid monthly, and the build payments have an end date.

If GoHighLevel costs you under $1,000 a month and fits how you sell, keep it.
